Royal Wedding Moved To Legoland Windsor

Royal Wedding At Legoland Windsor

Legoland Windsor is helping to celebrate the royal wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton with a miniature tribute to the happy couple.

As the world is gripped by wedding fever, the Berkshire based theme park has created 4 inch tall replicas of the royal couple which will stand alongside Lego versions of the Queen, Price Charles and the grooms brother and best man Prince Harry.

The exhibit can be seen in the Miniland London area of the children’s park and depicts William and Kate with well-wishers, school children, paparazzi and guests which include Elton John and Paul McCartney plus celebrity couple David and Victoria Beckham.

It has taken 10,000 pieces of Lego to recreate the royal wedding scene which depicts the wedding party at the gates of Buckingham Palace, complete with Guardsmen wearing scarlet tunics and bearskin hats, also made entirely of Lego.

The creators have taken care of every last detail with a couple of Lego Welsh Corgis finishing off the royal wedding party.

Divisional Director of Legoland Windsor, Sue Kemp commented “We’re proud to announce that it’s our 15th birthday this year and what better way to celebrate it then to pay homage to such an amazing royal occasion. After all, we’re based in Windsor which is well known for its royal connections.”
