If you’re looking to snap some jaw-dropping pictures throughout your trip to the Canary Islands then we’ve got your back! Here are some places throughout the islands which we think will make the perfect addition to your social media feed.

Tenerife

Tenerife

Tenerife is an island of diversities, from volcanic beaches and high peaks and vast forests to small villages. This means you won’t be short of the perfect place for a photo shoot on your Tenerife holiday.

Masca Village

Masca Village

Masca Village is located at Teno Rural Park and is a must-visit Tenerife photo spot. Part of what makes Masca so beautiful is the journey to get there, through narrow winding roads wrapped around steep slopes.

The houses in Masca appear to cling to the side of the mountains and the surrounding vegetation makes the village so picturesque. From Masca itself, you get stunning views of La Gomera, a smaller, lesser-known Canary Island. The isle is perfectly framed on each side by walls of the ravine, making it the perfect backdrop to your instagram photo.

Teide National Park

Teide National Park

Part of the iconic Canary Islands scenery, Teide National Park is bursting with breathtaking scenery and idyllic photo locations, ideal for snapping an envy-worthy shot.

The national park is home to Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain sitting at 3,718 meters high. It is also the highest volcano in the Atlantic Ocean. As you can imagine, the views in this landscape are simply beautiful, from both the top of Mount Teide or the bottom within the vast national park.

Montaña Amarilla

Montaña Amarilla

Montaña Amarilla is a unique place, where you will find rock formations in all different shapes and colours. At sunset, this is a great place for a photo shoot due to the landscape’s warm and earthy tones.

The area has been declared a national monument because of its extraordinary beauty, and we can certainly see why!

Lanzarote

Lanzarote

Lanzarote is a fantastic, all-year-round destination, so no matter when you choose to travel there, you are guaranteed to snap a great selfie!

Mirador del Rio

Mirador del Rio

Mirador del Rio was created in 1974 by Cesar Manrique and looks over to the nearby island of La Graciosa. It is the northernmost point of the island and you can take in some of Lanzarote’s most beautiful panoramic views.

Any photo taken here is sure to turn heads and it will have you feeling on top of the world at this breathtaking Lanzarote photo spot.

El Golfo and the Green Lagoon

El Golfo and the Green Lagoon

El Golfo and the Green Lagoon is truly a one of a kind place. Here you will find black sands and a green lake, formed in the crater of an old volcano. The green colour is caused by a type of algae that grows there.

The area has now been declared a nature reserve so you can’t go swimming in the lake, but you can still take in all its beauty. Why not coordinate your outfit with this fascinating landscape, and have your followers green with envy over the stunning pictures you’re sure to get here!

Teguise

Teguise

Teguise is the largest town in Lanzarote, stretching from the east to the west coast. It is bursting with traditional architecture, with plenty of white houses, green shutters and quaint side streets, all perfect for a photo backdrop.

The town is also home to some museums and a market, which make for a great place to snap yourself a more traditional and cultural picture.

Maspalomas Sand Dunes

Maspalomas Sand Dunes

The Maspalomas Sand Dunes are arguably one of the best known places to take a jaw-dropping photo in Gran Canaria. The rolling landscape of golden sands will transport you to the desert and is sure to take your breath away.

Though it may be tempting to go bare-foot for a more authentic selfie – be careful, because the sand is hot, hot, hot!

Roque Nublo Side Rocks

Roque Nublo Side Rocks

Just a few metres from Roche Nublo, a former volcanic plug made from red basalt, you will find this unusual rock formation that overlooks one of the most beautiful landscapes in Gran Canaria, with a view to the coast of Tenerife in the background.

It is best to plan your visit to Roque Nublo, which aptly translates to Cloud Rock, on a clear day, as that is when you will get the best views.

You must be super cautious when getting here, making the view even more special when you reach the top.

Puerto de Mogán

Puerto de Mogán

If you’re looking for an Instagram backdrop that will outshine your outfit, Puerto de Mogán is the ideal place to visit. It is a picturesque fishing village filled with bougainvilleas, an ornamental climbing plant of which its flowers bloom in bright colours.

The marina is also a great place to take that perfect picture, with beautiful yachts and sailing boats in the background.
