Tenerife is the largest and probably the most well-known of the Canary Islands and most definitely has the right to boast about its warm year-round climate. Although they do have a winter and summer, winter is by no means anything like we experience in the UK, in fact, you can expect a warm and toasty average of 20°C.
The summer season runs from May to October and the winter season is from November to April. Let’s take a look at what weather you can expect during holidays in Tenerife.
May – October
The summer months in Tenerife tend to attract families and younger travellers looking for some fun in the sun and can be a busy time to travel, pretty much like any other destination in peak season. However, there are many quiet resorts and spots around the island such as secluded beaches and remote picnic spots waiting for you to discover.
You should expect really warm weather during the summer months with a refreshing sea breeze to cool you down.
