Mamma Mia Makes Tenth Year of Broadway Musical Magic

New York holidays offer some of the finest theatrical entertainment in the world, as shown by the longevity of the Abba inspired musical of Mamma Mia! which is into its tenth year running.

Broadway is as highly regarded as London’s own West End in terms of the sheer variety and quality of the theatrical delights that it can offer to visitors to America’s Big Apple. The Winter Garden Theatre which hosts Mamma Mia! is just one of a myriad of majestic temples for the theatrical arts

As we head into October, visitors exploring New York will have the chance to see the ten year anniversary of Mamma Mia! celebrated at the Winter Garden, with ten special live events planned in order to mark the occasion.

The theatre’s spokespeople have said that this will be known as the Super Trouper Celebration and the events will be in the form of live performances spread across the New York area in the hope of encouraging more people to come and witness the heart-warming genius of the full show itself.

Judy Craymer, global producer of Mamma Mia!, said: ‘New York audiences embraced us when we arrived on Broadway and gave us the encouragement and support to not only send the show around the world, but to brave Hollywood and the movies.

“The global success would never have happened without the energy of New York City.”

New York isn’t called “The City that Never Sleeps” for nothing, that energy comes buzzing out almost as soon as you touch down from your flight. Not only does a New York city break have a whole host of theatrical entertainments on offer, it’s also no secret that the city has an incredible array of shopping and dining experiences to excite and delight its visitors.
