Thomson and First Choice have finally launched their summer 2017 programme, and we can’t stop talking about it! As of today, customers will be able to take advantage of some amazing new destinations, durations, hotels and most importantly, those much sought-after free child places.
So, here’s what you can look forward to.
Three spanking new destinations
Made up of rainforests, waterfalls and beaches, Saint Lucia is a true tropical paradise. This stunning Caribbean island is great if you’re looking for a romantic getaway as it’s now considered a top destination for honeymooners. But the biggest draw for us has to be Saint Lucia’s very own world heritage site, the Pitons. This famous twin mountain range is the island’s biggest attraction, particularly for those keen climbers and hikers among us.
Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba
If you’re after a small low-key beach destination, Cayo Santa Maria has to be your top pick for next summer. Small in size, this tiny island has a real castaway feel with its calm waters and isolated beaches. But don’t worry if you want to experience Cuba’s lively side, you still can as Cayo Santa Maria is actually connected to Cuba’s mainland.
That said, Thomson is offering a twin centre, which means you’ll get to spend three nights in Cuba’s most famed city Havana, before finishing off your holiday in Cayo Santa Maria.
Summer 2017 is the year to holiday like the rich and famous, yes some of Hollywood’s biggest names have been spotted soaking up the Italian sun along Olbia’s beautiful coastline. And the beaches here aren’t too shabby either. Imagine white sand and emerald coloured sea against Olbia’s picturesque backdrop – now that’s a view.
Shorter breaks to more destinations
Cape Verde to expand
As predicted, Cape Verde will expand this winter. From November 2016, Cape Verde is set to open two brand new hotels as well as fully revamping all of Sal’s RIU hotels. These hotels will include the 5* Sensimar Cabo Verde, the adults-only Melia Llanas and the Riu Palace Cabo Verde, which will undergo a full refurbishment.
New additions to Thomson’s Splashworld, Family Life and Sensimar ranges
After proving extremely popular, Thomson’s Family Life brand has decided to open a hotel in Croatia. That’s right – families can look forward to the new 4* Family Life Bellevue Resort located on the Istrian Riviera, which will offer swim-up rooms and spectacular sea views.
Also on the cards for summer 2017 are two new Sensimar hotels and Splashworld’s newest addition, Villa Mandi in Tenerife. This means guests staying at the Villa Mandi will get unlimited access to Europe’s top waterpark, Siam Park.
After a rebranding, Thomson Discovery will now go by the name, TUI Discovery, and will be the first of its fleet to offer an All Inclusive drinks package as standard. But that’s not all – Thomson Celebration will also be sailing out of Newcastle between June and September 2017, offering a great alternative to flying.
And with 10 itineraries to choose from sailing to the likes of the Norwegian fjords, the Baltics, Iceland, Scotland and more, Thomson has really pushed the boat out this year. Plus, there will also be an additional 16 ports of call to choose from including Berlin, Pula in Croatia and Arendal in Norway, which was the inspiration behind Disney’s huge hit Frozen.
