After creating but a ripple in the travel industry pool last year with the launch of their new ‘Scene’ range, Thomson Holidays have given the brand a total makeover and re-released it with a bang. And what a bang it has made. Filling in the gap in the market between ’18-30s’-style budget clubbing holidays and glamorous weeks away, Thomson Scene is aimed at those looking for stylish hotels, snazzy bars and a more sophisticated clubbing scene.
Everything about these holidays is catered towards an 18-35 age group, right down to the glossy magazine-esque brochure with its fashion pages and interview with top DJ Danny Howard. They’ve even had their own dance track produced for their brand new advert that was recently shot in Ibiza. The slogan ‘Chilled Days, Lively Nights’ pretty much sums up what Thomson Scene holidays are all about – a young adult holiday for those who wouldn’t mind letting their hair down a few nights while on holiday and enjoying some fun at nice bars.
They’ve selected 86 of the trendiest hotels around the world, in exotic destinations such as Thailand and Goa as well as favourites closer to home including Mykonos and Cyprus. The new hotels will offer features tailored to the holidaymakers’ needs, including late breakfasts for late-night clubbers and free WiFi – perfect for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
The Thomson Scene product is broken down into two categories: Scene Hub and Scene Style. Scene Hub will replace the current ‘2wentys’ young clubber brand in appealing to the lively 18-25 year party, whereas Scene Style is aimed at those 25+, who may be young professionals with a slightly higher budget looking for something that little bit more sophisticated. However, there’s no set holiday you have to choose, so take the flow chart below to find out which would suit you:
They have hotels in the following resorts: Malia, Crete; Kavos, Corfu; Cancun, Mexico; Phuket, Ibiza, Spain; Mykonos, Greece; Bodrum, Turkey; Rhodes Town, Rhodes; Playa Las Americas, Tenerife; Laganas, Zante; Faliraki, Rhodes; Magaluf, Majorca; Ayia Napa, Cyprus; Playa Del Ingles, Gran Canaria; Puerto Banus, Spain; Cavtat, Croatia.
