Just Announced – Thomson Cities

News just in – Thomson holidays just got a whole lot more fun. Thomson has just announced that, with its latest holiday programme Thomson Cities, the brand is upping its long-haul game by adding some of the world’s greatest cities to its list of destinations. Gone are the days of travelling up the road or down to the coast – holidaymakers can now say hello to more long-haul trips that feature heavy doses of late nights and neon lights.

At the moment of its unveiling, Thomson Cities will offer holidays to US hotspots New York City, Las Vegas and Miami, all of which are currently available to book online – they’ll be available in retail beginning 28th October 2016. In the future, the program will spread out to cover Cape Town, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong!

What’s included?

Using third-party flights with British Airways, Virgin, Cathay Pacific and Norwegian, stays will be available from 3 to 14 nights, and will include an airport meet and greet with a TUI representative, plus complimentary coach transfers to your hotel. And we’re not talking just any hotels. The hotels available with Thomson Cities have been hand-picked, and range from well-known brands and budget options to deluxe city spots like the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas and the 5* colonial-style Raffles Hotel in Singapore.

Also available will be sight-seeing tours that customers can pre-book, including jaunts to the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas, sky-high trips to the top of the Empire State Building in New York City or excursions to the floating markets in Bangkok.

With Thomson Cities, long haul travel just got that much easier. Here are the newest destinations holidaymakers can start cosying up to.

New York City, New York – United States

You’ve heard it before – the city so nice, they named it twice. New York City doesn’t need much explanation, as it’s difficult not to know a thing or two about this world-famous metropolis. Not only is it home to an iconic skyline, the Statue of Liberty, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Times Square, but also streets that redefine the word ‘busy’ and more ground-breaking cuisine than you can shake a fork at.

Las Vegas, Nevada – United States

Calling Las Vegas the ‘City of Lights’ was a serious understatement. We’d be surprised if you couldn’t see this neon-lit spot from the moon. Famous mostly for the Las Vegas Strip, on which the hotels are so intricately decorated they’re practically museums, Las Vegas is playfully nicknamed ‘Disneyland for adults’. Here, you’ll find no shortage of casinos, all-night bars, star performers and quirky chapels, while Thomson Cities offers up plenty of cheap Las Vegas holidays.

Miami, Florida – United States

Still a buzzing city in its own right, Miami dials up the heat with a sizzling coastline. The streets come to life with murals and graffiti, the sound of music pouring in from live music bars and wafts of Latin cuisine cooking in colourful restaurants. Having a gorgeous stretch of beach only adds to this popular city’s reputation. With year-round warm weather, it’s always a good time to enjoy Miami’s coastline, though the museums and alligator-themed excursions will vie for your attention.
