Julie’s Red Sea Holiday Village Blog

I went to the Holiday Village Red Sea and enjoyed it so much I went back for seconds! This hotel complex is ideal for families. It is so big, there really is no need to venture outside its walls if you so wanted, and there is always plenty going on day and night. The select rooms are so spacious and include luxuries such as bathrobes, slippers and DVD players, ideal for little ones while you’re getting ready! The food is really tasty, with a fair bit of choice, there are even speciality a la carte restaurants, the Chinese being our favourite.

If you do want to venture out into resort, La Strada is a nice shopping centre without the hassle. Just turn right out of holiday village and cross the road. If you’re a fussy eater, or just fancy a late night snack, McDonalds is just outside too and deliver to hotel for 50p.

The hotel is on the beachfront, and views from the beach are lovely, though the beach is a little gritty. There’s a small jetty from which you can snorkel, but I found the snorkelling was much better on a trip. We booked trips from Aquarius on the beach (Medo) which was really good.

We booked a quad bike adventure with First Choice. It was a little bit more expensive than others on offer, but this one included quad bike insurance which I felt was very important and worth paying a little extra for.

Nabq Bay, the area in which the holiday village is located, is growing year on year with more shops, bars and restaurants opening all the time. It’s an interesting place with markets and nightlife for party animals! I loved both of my stays at the First Choice Holiday Village Red Sea and would definitely go back for more!
