It’s All about Ibiza: 6 Island Shindigs That You Need to Attend

Extravagant yachts, A-listers, and world-famous clubs, yes you’ve guessed it we’re talking about Ibiza! Quickly becoming the topic of conversation among most party-goers, it’s nearly that time of the year again, that time when Ibiza opens its doors and prepares for another legendary start of the season. Who’s excited?

When it comes to nightlife it doesn’t get much bigger than Ibiza, with world-famous superclubs, sophisticated pool parties, and open-air gigs, this party capital knows exactly how to entertain its guests – and that’s exactly why they keep coming back for more.

But this island doesn’t only attract students and university leavers. Last year we saw a mix of royals, actors, models, and music moguls attending the islands most sought-after parties. So, it doesn’t matter if you’re an island regular or a first timer we have the low down on the best pool parties, clubs and beach bashes to make your Ibiza experience as enjoyable as possible.

  1. The Best Pool Party – Ocean Beach, San Antonio 12.00 – 00.00

A day-time shindig like no other with its stiletto-wearing females, circular sun loungers, fashion shows, and not forgetting everyone’s favourite saxophone player, Laura Fowles. It’s simple, you can’t go to Ibiza without experiencing Ocean Beach!

As one of the island’s newest editions, this beach club seems to be growing and growing in popularity and will be celebrating its fourth birthday this summer. We suggest you attend on a Friday as this is the club’s official pool party, so you can expect everything from the hottest summer tunes, special guest appearances, and a few famous faces as the beach club remains a firm favourite with the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Tinie Tempah, and Michelle Keegan.

  1. The Best Beach Party – Bora Bora, Playa D’en Bossa 9:00 – 05:00

If you’re one for getting your feet dirty and dancing barefoot in the sand then a Bora Bora party is for you. This is one of Ibiza’s most loved shindigs and a place where hundreds of party-hungry Brits congregate daily.

The party centres around Bora Bora Beach club, which is cleverly positioned on the golden sand of Playa D’en Bossa’s beautiful beach, and sits next to some of the island’s biggest superclubs. In a nutshell, Bora Bora is packed with sun-tanned music lovers dancing on tables as they wait for the DJ to drop that famous beat. Sundays are the busiest day at Bora Bora as the beach club usually hosts a great pre-party for the popular Sunday party in Space, so if you want to experience Bora Bora at its craziest then this is the day to go.

  1. The Best Bar – Plastik Bar, San Antonio 11:00 – 04:00

This bar or ‘mini club’ as some like to call it, is a popular venue with Ibiza workers and is situated close to Ibiza’s West End, just across from the famous egg roundabout. Plastik Bar is the ideal start to any night and the perfect end if you’re after something a little bit more low-key, away from Ibiza’s superclub scene.

As one of the most prestigious bars on the island, Plastik has been the setting for a number of reality TV shoots including everyone’s favourite guilty pleasure, TOWIE. Although this venue is small it certainly packs a lot in with its world-class warm up mixes and large dance space. Lets face it, Plastik is a key part of the San Antonio nightlife scene.

  1. The Best Hotel Party – Ushuaia, Playa D’en Bossa 17:00 – 23:59

One of Ibiza’s most exclusive settings offering a day meets night atmosphere, it seems Ushuaia is the best hotel-based party in Ibiza. Providing a unique space that fills with summer vibes daily, this is the best place to showcase your dancing skills.

At the heart of this open-air venue you’ll find an outstanding stage, this is the club’s focal point as party-goers circle the area each night as they dance energetically to the latest tunes played out by a host of international DJs. And if you don’t manage to secure the best seat in the house, then don’t worry, because you can catch all the visuals on the huge screens, which are positioned on each side of the stage. With its state-of-the-art purple pool lighting, luxury cabanas, and glamorous dancers, your time at Ushuaia will be one of your fondest island memories.

  1. The Best Nightclub – Pacha, Ibiza Town 23:59 – 07:00

Pulling in the crowds since 1973, Pacha is one of Ibiza’s oldest and most established clubs with its recognisable cherry logo. Nights here can be a little pricey, but it will be worth every penny when you step inside this distinctive setting and find yourself surrounded by elegant interiors and confetti-filled dance floors.

The crowd here will be full of all kinds of partiers from jet-setters, celebrities, and fashionistas to house music-loving locals, socialites, and promoters, who all have one thing in common – they love Pacha parties. Last year the club hosted one of the island’s most discussed events named Solomun, and the good news is it’s back this year, so prepare to be amazed. This Sunday night extravaganza saw the likes of Pete Tong, DJ Koze, and Audiofly DJing in 2014, so if last year is anything to go by it looks like we’re in for a real treat.

  1. The Best Outdoor Party – Zoo Project, Benimussa 16:30 – 00:00

It’s time to unleash your inner animal. Located inside an abandoned zoo, Zoo Project has set the party pace for the last few years now. Each night party-goers use their imagination through body paint, extravagant hairstyles, and outlandish outfits to turn themselves into wild animals in what can only be described as one of the most unique locations in the whole of Ibiza.

As you wander around this large outdoor space you can expect to see stalls, performers, a stage area, countless pools, and the finest underground DJs, so make sure you have your camera at the ready. Hosted weekly on a Saturday, why not be a part of the animal kingdom this year and attend the island’s most unique party?
