Have you been to Siam Park?

We definitely have a soft spot for beautiful pools and water parks, and in the last feature it was all about Disney’s Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach in Florida. Some of our fans were quick to point out a really awesome water park that was missing from the list: Siam Park in Tenerife. It opened three years ago with a full Thai flavour – even the restaurant serves Thai meals, and there’s a floating market open to shoppers!

But of course the most exciting part about Siam Park is the water rides. I’ve selected six of our favourites, but let me know if I’ve left any out:

The Dragon

Riders sit in a tube and oscillate terrifyingly from side to side through a light show in the dragon’s lair – which measures 66 feet in length!

Tower of Power

Plunge nearly 100 feet out of the sky and through a transparent slide that travels under an aquarium filled with sharks and stingrays, emerging safely (I hope…) on the other side.

The Giant

Twin spinning tubes (one moving clockwise, the other counter clockwise) take you on a journey through closed pipes into a sparkling blue pool.

Mai Thai River

Proudly dubbed the world’s longest lazy river and also the highest elevation of any lazy river (at 26 feet), this long stretch of turquoise water ends in a glorious, bubbling Jacuzzi.

Naga Racer

A six-lane racing slide, this is a great one for competitive families!

Kinnaree

One of the newer slides at Siam Park, this is a four-person, 660-foot mega slide that’s elevated 80 feet above the ground – perfect for adrenaline junkies!
