Golden Rules For Your Holiday Footwear

There really is no getting away from the fact that us ladies love our shoes. And let’s face it most of us invest an awful lot of time matching our shoes to our outfits. So, when the time comes to pack for our holiday the question we have to ask ourselves is “what shoes should I take?” This soon becomes a mammoth task when you look down at your overflowing wardrobe and wonder which shoes you’re going to leave behind – oh and let’s not forget all the new pairs you have bought and hidden at the back of the wardrobe!

So how many pairs should you take on holiday with you? We don’t have an exact answer for this because it is up to the individual, but we have provided you with a guideline of what we think is a good mix of footwear for a week’s duration.

Loafers

Let’s start with the journey to the airport. Whether you’re travelling on a short flight to Majorca or a longer flight to Mexico, comfort is key on a flight that’s why we think a comfortable flat pair of loafers will serve you well for your travels. You could also match these up for an evening out with some dressy shorts or a long skirt.

Flip Flops

The most suitcase-worthy footwear has to be your flip flops. Whether you prefer a toe post or slider styles, they are a must for around the pool or a day at the beach. They are also a great alternative for a casual night.

Trainers or pumps

Despite being on holiday, some people like to stay active while travelling, usually with a workout at the gym or sunrise jog along the beach. So, if this describes you we would advise taking a pair of trainers or pumps – especially if you’re planning any excursions or trips.

Gladiator sandals

Gladiator sandals are great piece of footwear for your travels as you can fully utilize them. Whether you choose to dress down for a casual afternoon or dress up for a night on the tiles, the style will work alongside any look.

Neutral heels

Neutral coloured shoes are a great addition to any outfit. Whether you prefer a block heel, stiletto or wedges the choice is all yours. But one thing is for sure they will match any outfit, even your sassy swimwear!
