Ibiza is known for being the party capital of Europe and boys and girls holidays here are in high demand. With a roaring nightclub scene and parties that extend from the pool to the beach, there are tons of wild escapades to be had.
Party holidays are the main event in Ibiza. Many boys and girls holidays start off with the same agenda – find the hottest clubs, tan on the best beaches and drink the freshest cocktails and the coldest beers. But there are differences, and sometimes these groups crave some girl or boy time away from the opposite sex.
If you’re looking for a little something extra than just the normal clubbing experience, Ibiza has plenty to offer when it comes to days out. These activities aren’t necessarily gender specific, but a group of girls may not want to do the same thing as the boys on every occasion. Here’s a list of fun things to do in Ibiza on your boys or girls holiday.
All the single ladies
If you and your girls want to pick up some of the newest trends on your holiday, head to Ibiza Town where you’ll find all the big brands as well as vintage clothing shops. There’s a massive variety of beachwear retailers as well, so you can find fashionable bikinis and sarongs for all your sand and pool needs. Ibiza’s Hippy Markets are also a popular place to pick up unique souvenirs and Es Cana’s weekly market is just one of those spots. Here you’ll find stalls selling handmade jewellery, art work, leather goods and fancy food.
Another great place to pick up some knick-knacks is the Saturday car boot market in San Jordi. Hundreds of cars set up shop in the south end of the village where you can browse all the cool vintage clothing and jewellery to your heart’s content.
For a little sophistication, spend the day at one of Ibiza’s wineries and enjoy a leisurely afternoon tasting the superb varieties of both red and white wines. You and your girlfriends can take a tour and learn about the wine making process before sitting down to try your own favourites paired with delicious breads and cheeses.
Sa Cova Winery in Sant Antoni de Portmany is one of the most popular wineries on the island and makes for a fantastic day drinking in the sunshine.
What girls’ holiday would be complete without a spa day? Before you choose your hotel, look ahead to see if they have a spa onsite, many do, and pre-book your times and treatments.
If your hotel doesn’t offer spa services there are plenty of upscale spas located around the island that you can go to, such as Atzaro Spa and Revival Wellness Club. You’ll be properly pampered with holistic treatments, deep tissue massages, manicures, pedicures and even hairdressing studios. After your revitalising treatments, you can unwind even more in the steam rooms and whirlpools – a perfect end to a luxurious day.

After a busy lad’s night out what better a way to pick yourself up again than by hitting a waterpark? Aguamar is Ibiza’s only waterpark and is located in Playa d’en Bossa. This park is ideal for a fun day out in the sun and is home to thrilling rides such as inner-tube slides, black holes and kamikazes. There’s also a splash park and wave pool if you need to cool down from the heat.
Your party won’t need to worry about remembering to bring food with you on your trip as Aguamar has its own onsite restaurant and café.
It’s no secret a booze cruise is a popular choice for both boys and girls holidays, but with the amount of eligible single ladies on board, lads should be queuing up to get their tickets stamped. These party boats are decked out with DJs spinning the hottest tracks and an overflowing bar.
Most cruises start with one free drink and then offer reasonably priced beers, spirits and cocktails from then on. As the DJs turn up the music you can dance the day away looking out towards the Ibiza coastline. You might even get lucky and be aboard a themed booze cruise like the mega foam dance party.
For any adrenalin junkies, there are some awesome watersport facilities all around Ibiza’s coastlines. Jet skis are available for hire so you can ride the seas in style, as well as scuba diving lessons and snorkelling kits for any avid swimmers.
For a glimpse of the high life, parasailing experiences over the Mediterranean Sea are offered on numerous beach fronts.
But there’s one day trip out that the lads are sure to remember – some of Ibiza’s beaches offer flyboard and hoverboard lessons. Yes, you read that right. You’ll be introduced to the equipment and then propelled up into the air above the sea by jets of water and air. Any Back To The Future fan will be raving about this exhilarating watersport activity to friends and family back home for a long time to come.
