Here’s our handy guide on where you can get to in under four hours from the UK, with some of the warmest summer temperatures. Don’t forget to check more accurate flight times from your preferred airport.
Malta (average high 31°C)
Our top summer scorcher in under four hours is Malta! With average highs of 31°C, you’re sure to get a gorgeous summer glow on this Mediterranean island. With an average flight time of three hours from the UK, you will be at your holiday paradise in no time at all. Majorca (average high 30°C)
In slightly more than two hours, Brits can experience glorious sunshine and tropical temperatures on the beautiful island of Majorca. It has a typical Mediterranean climate and though August tends to be the hottest month, you can experience warm temperatures throughout the year. In the time it takes to run a marathon (if you’re Mo Farah!) you can be whisked away to this beautiful Balearic island.
Portugal (average high 28°C)
Coming in third place based on temperature is Portugal! Depending on which airport you choose, you can fly to Portugal in between two and a half to three hours. Download them directly to your device. When aboard the aircraft, switch to airplane mode. When it is safe to do so, plug in your headphones…happy viewing!
Costa Blanca (average high 26°C)
Clocking in at around two and a half hours, flying to Costa Blanca couldn’t be easier! With plenty of flight options to Alicante Airport, you will be there before you know it. But how long really is two and a half hours? Think The Dark Night, The Lord of The Rings or The Godfather. In the time it takes to watch one of those, you will be transported to the sunny shores of Costa Blanca!
