The Dominican Republic is located on the island of Hispaniola and is split between two seas, the Atlantic to the north and the Caribbean to the south.

The hotel is located in Bavaro which is on the south east coast. Looking for the ultimate relaxation spot? Then we have found just that! Accommodation Overview

Two words… Pure luxury

Memories Splash Punta Cana is an All Inclusive hotel, offering a taste of luxury for all, from families with children to honeymooners. Set upon tropical gardens with a close-to-the-sand location, this hotel oozes sophistication. With a list of room choices and four restaurants, including a Mexican and an Italian you won’t be disappointed. And there are plenty of places to quench your thirst with six bars dotted across its grounds.

 Time For Fun

Most of us love a day out at a nearby waterpark.  If this describes you, this hotel should be your Dominican pick. You don’t even have to leave the premises if its waterslides you’re after. With a splash park in the hotel you can take full advantage of rides like the Black Hole and Hidrotubo.

Fitness fanatics can also enjoy exercise classes at the beach or a game of tennis. Alternatively, if you’re seeking an undersea adventure then try snorkelling and see how many different species of fish you can spot.

If you’re travelling with your children why not drop them off at the onsite kids’ or teens’ clubs? This is the perfect opportunity to escape for a couple of hours for some well-deserved me time.

Or, how about some R&R time at the spa with a beauty treatment or a snooze in the sauna?

Time For Indulgence

Turn up the heat in the Mexican restaurant and enjoy mouth-watering burritos and fajitas. Now, it’s time to try the Italian, where the hardest decision you will make that day is pizza or pasta? Alternatively, there’s always the buffet restaurant where kids have their own zone, and if you’re health conscious there is a healthy option station, so you don’t have to break the diet. Imagine eating alongside a host of tropical fish? Well, you no longer have to picture it. The hotel’s family restaurant has plenty of aquariums, offering a simply unique underwater dining experience.

There are plenty of drinking spots too, including a bar dedicated to teenagers serving non-alcoholic drinks, which is a great socialising spot. Plus, if you’re a Diamond Club member you have a separate bar which is exclusive to members. With three swim-up bars you don’t even have to leave the pool if you’re thirsty. Still thirsty? Well, they are another six bars dotted around the hotel, so you’re never too far for a tipple.

The Sports bar where you can grab a bite to eat from the snack bar or café when you just fancy a snack or a light bite. If you’re looking to satisfy your sweet tooth, indulge in a delicious dessert at the ice cream bar.

Insiders Tips

You will be happy to know that the hotel has free Wi-Fi, so is great for anyone missing their daily social media feed or replying to emails.

This hotel is part of two hotels, the Royalton and Memories. Memories offer an upgrade priced at $15 per day. This means Memories guests can use the restaurants at the Royalton, while the beach bar and restaurant are free to all guests, so check before booking as an upgrade may not be necessary.

If you upgrade to the Diamond Club membership you can receive additional luxury extras,  including a personalised check in/check out, a premium drinks menu in the lounge, a nightly turndown service, luxury amenities in the room and plenty more. We would recommend this extra if you are going away to celebrate your honeymoon or a special birthday.

If you have children try and request buildings 7 and 8. These are the closest to the pools, restaurants and beach, so less walking for the little ones. This will make life a lot easier as you often find yourself going back and forth to your room with small children.

And, with your meals and drinks included, your spending money is yours to do as you wish, which is ideal for keeping to a budget.
