The small Caribbean island of St Lucia is as ideal for relaxed family holidays as it is for luxury weddings and romantic honeymoons.

It has a perfect backdrop of picturesque mountains and lush greenery to lull you into laid-back holiday mode. Unwind and enjoy peaceful seaside days on the spectacular sandy beaches. If you want a change of pace, there’s plenty to do from trips into the rainforest and mountain treks to snorkelling around the coastline.

From here you can pop over to Barbados which has its own mix of a vibrant nightlife, arts and music scene. Head for Bridgetown to take in live music and browse the markets for local handicrafts. Probably the most incredible attraction is the chance to see the unforgettable Northern Lights. You can take trips out to the countryside to do this, or take a boat out to sea away from the city’s glare.

Sardinia is one of Italy’s most beautiful islands and sits in the mild climate of the Mediterranean.
