Bali Hotel and Studios can be found on a steep hill close to Benalmadena seafront, just a few steps from Malapesqueras’ Beach. The hotel boasts regular rooms alongside studios and family rooms, with many bars, cafés and restaurants on the doorstep.

Memories Holguin, Cuba

 

There’s nothing quite as perfect as relaxing on a Caribbean beach, especially when Cuba boasts average temperature of 27ºC in December. This lovely resort is ideally located right on a private section of beach at Playa Yuraguanal, so you can dip your toes in the sea.

The resort has a comfortable and contemporary feel with a multitude of amenities for everyone. There’s very little need to leave the hotel, with five swimming pools and sun-lounging areas, as well as five restaurants serving Italian and Cuban cuisine, and a buffet-style restaurant. Canto Del Sol, Mexico

 

This is a large All Inclusive resort located right on Las Glorias Beach, which means all meals and beverages are included. Amenities include three restaurants, outdoor swimming pools, one with a swim-up bar, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a steam room and spa facilities. This area on the Pacific coast is known for its watersports, so have a go at windsurfing or kayaking.

The rooms are warmly decorated with a number of different options to suit couples or families, including rooms with balconies and ocean views. The weather is great with an average temperature of 23°C and with long sunny days, it’s a great place to visit in December.

Four Views Monumental Lido, Madeira, Portugal

 

Madeira has a sub-tropical climate, which means that apart from its unique flora and fauna it’s a lovely place to head for a bit of winter sun with an average temperature of 19°C in December. This is a slick and modern hotel with top class amenities including a luxury spa offering hydro-massage, hot tubs, and even a Roman Bath. The Atlantic Buffet restaurant serves a selection of cuisine while there’s also a stunning outdoor swimming pool. The rooms, some of which are sea view, are again modern with some antique touches.
