As winter arrives and the rain sweeps in, we’re still dreaming of sunnier days. And thanks to this week’s deals, those dreams are about to become a reality. Say goodbye to rainy Mondays and the winter blues, and hello to the beaches of Paphos, the nightlife of Benidorm and the flavours of Mexico. With some of the deals at just £200 a pop, you don’t have to worry about leaving a dent in your wallet either!

Canto Del Sol, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Found just along Las Glorias Beach in Puerto Vallarta’s hotel district, this family-friendly set-up is a haven for sunbathing types. It comes complete with a swimming pool and swim-up bar, a sun terrace and outdoor activities like tennis, volleyball and kayaks, which you can take out to sea.

You’ll also find some great nightly entertainment, plus a buffet restaurant, steakhouse and Italian trattoria. Not that you’ll be left bored in this amazing resort, with Puerto Vallarta on your doorstep – you can also venture out.

Levante Club Hotel, Benidorm, Costa Blanca, Spain

This towering 4* hotel is an adults-only property, but that doesn’t mean its a snooze. In fact, this upbeat hotel is an adults playground with facilities including a spa, Turkish and thermal baths, a swimming pool, gardens, live music and a buffet restaurant serving cuisine from all over the world.

Across the street are a range of bars, but Levante Beach is only a 15-minute walk away. This is Benidorm’s liveliest beach and offers some great watersports such as banana boats and jet skis. But if you’re in Benidorm you won’t want to miss out on its famed nightlife scene either – with cabaret shows, Irish pubs, karaoke bars and dance clubs, this Spanish town certainly knows how to party.

Suite Princess Hotel, Playa Taurito, Gran Canaria, Spain

Stacked into a hillside overlooking Playa Taurito Beach, the Suite Princess Hotel is an adults-only zone with sunset views that seriously impress. You won’t be able to escape the sea, really – not that you’d want to – as even the two swimming pools and buffet restaurant feature shots of the ocean. And once you’ve finished watching the sunset from the hotel garden make sure you head to the piano bar for a cool cocktail.

A complimentary shuttle will whisk you off to Puerto Mogan, which lies only five minutes away. This little Canary Island town has been nicknamed Little Venice for its network of canals. Along the beach, scuba diving, yacht charters and a real-life yellow submarine await.

Qawra Palace Hotel, Qawra, Malta

The Qawra Palace knows a thing or two about holidays in the sun – found just across the road from a rocky beach and 15 minutes from an array of shores, this hotel offers all the benefits of a seaside escape. Plus, the hotel itself features two pools – an outdoor saltwater swimming pool and an indoor freshwater pool, perfect for those winter months.

As for activities and the resort centre, reaching them is extremely easy. Downtown is a 10-minute walk away, and the nightclub and shops are even closer. But if you’re not looking to leave the grounds of this palm-fringed hotel, there’s a buffet restaurant, evening entertainment, wintertime dancing and pizzeria in the high season to keep you occupied.

Anemi Hotel Apartments, Paphos, Cyprus

The Anemi Hotel Apartments are simple yet stylish. Steeped in white decor made dreamy with chocolate brown accents, this hotel is easy on the eyes. These accommodations may be Self Catering – but there are kitchenettes in every studio and apartment – plus, a buffet restaurant featuring themed dinners and outdoor seating to make sure you don’t go hungry.

The swimming pool here is undoubtedly the centre of attention, though the hotel’s location gives it a run for its money. The Anemi Hotel Apartments can be found right in the heart of Paphos, and just a five-minute walk to the surrounding bars along the harbour, and the beach is closer still.
