We flew into Geneva and although the transfer to Morzine was just over an hour, it seemed to fly by. To me, the transfer is usually the worst part of any holiday, yet this one was quite painless! Our hosts, Emma and Kit, were waiting for us with hot chocolate, and made us feel very welcome indeed. They were always on hand throughout our holiday to advise us of everything from weather reports to the best shops to buy our souvenirs from.
We chose to stay in a chalet as we were a large party and wanted somewhere more private and personal than a hotel. Ours was called Chalet Daisy and slept 8 in lovely, comfortable beds spread across 3 bedrooms. Facilities included 2 bathrooms, a huge open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a gorgeous crackling log fire and a drying room. There’s even a videos (not that we had any time at all to watch telly) and a collection of family games – fab fun for a group night in!!!
The ski lifts were only a couple of minutes walk away, so Chalet Daisy is ideally located. It was also close to a couple of great bars and restaurants for some good old apres ski entertainment!
The skiing was excellent here. There was a large variety of slopes, and there were definitely enough runs to challenge us for a week! The conditions were perfect. The hospitality at Chalet Daisy was faultless, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this chalet for your next skiing holidays.
