Luxury Holidays to Dalaman

A holiday spot for Greek gods and packed with activities begging you to kick back and relax, Turkey’s Turquoise Coast is a glamorous force to be reckoned with. We mean Dalaman, of course, home to endless beaches and jewellery shops where luxury is sold by the barrel.

Dalaman Region Luxury Holidays

Beaches, spas and luxury hotels all in one blitz-encrusted package

Flights from the UK to Dalaman put you in the air for around four hours, which means this glitzy Turkish region is only a long nap away.

Known as Turkey’s Turquoise Coast, the Dalaman region has a thing or two to boast about in the ways of luxury. Its pebbled, sandy and shingled shorelines stretch out as far as the eye can see. The resort known as Sarigerme might be relatively new to Turkey’s tourism scene, but boasts a seriously lengthy beach of its own. If it’s the high life you’re after, you can’t really go wrong.

Marmaris is Dalaman’s most popular resort, with heavy helpings of luxury in the form of Turkish baths and a big time bazaar, plus incredibly luxurious hotels. Smaller spots like Fethiye couple old world charm with modern new marinas to make Renaissance resorts where anything is possible. It’s no wonder this cut of Turkey was once the destination of choice for high profile, ancient celebs – aka Greek gods like Apollo.

Living the high life in Dalaman

With the Dalaman region’s range of beaches, it stacks a full deck where luxury is concerned. Stretch out on any slice of this resort’s sandy shores and you’ll be ready for your close up. On top of this, days in Dalaman can also be spent perusing the Grand Bazaar of Marmaris for a new toy – and by new toy, we mean gold jewellery, which is notoriously affordable in Turkey, so prepare to stock up.

In Fethiye, the real luxury begins after dark, when the town centre comes alive with sleek clubs and bars. Meanwhile back at the beaches – Sarigerme’s, to be exact – a sandy stretch is speckled with umbrellas and luxury hotels, ensuring you’re never far from the action.

Sensatori Resort Fethiye

Stashed away in a forest setting but with the waterfront just on the horizon, the 5* TUI Sensatori Resort in Fethiye is steeped in glam. Five pools in total and an activity lineup that includes yoga, tennis and a spa are enough to draw you in. But the real star of the show is the dining scene – five on-site restaurants serve up a world of cuisine, while the main restaurant combines all the flavours.

Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort and Spa

Decked with 5* status and taking up an impressive chunk of the Sarigerme coast, the Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort and Spa is a champion where luxury is concerned. Here, you’re privy to an eye-poppingly huge pool scene, a sauna and Turkish bath, plus activities like squash and archery. On top of that is the beach we mentioned earlier – it’s private, and open exclusively to hotel guests.

TUI Blue Sarigerme Park

The TUI Blue Sarigerme Park is another one of those gorgeous waterfront properties – and when we say waterfront, we don’t mean the pool even though it’s just about as huge. The hotel is one of TUI’s Platinum properties, complete with a tropical garden locale, four restaurants and a Blue Flag beach right on its doorstep. On top of this, you’ll have a spa and Hammam treatments, Turkish language classes and live entertainment on hand.

Club Turban

Hidden away in an exclusive forest location, Club Turban is a 5* hotel that’s heavy on the mountain retreat vibes. That’s not to say the waterfront isn’t close – the hotel is quite literally right on the beach. On the menu are Chinese, Turkish and Italian restaurants, plus steak and seafood joints in the summer, rounded out by an activity lineup that includes a spa, on-site jewellery shop and more evening entertainment than you’ll know what to do with.
