Ibiza Clubbing Holidays

A place where days turn into nights and parties create lasting memories, clubbing holidays don’t get much bigger than Ibiza. Legendary superclubs, big name line-ups and deluxe pool parties, you name it – the White Isle has all the ingredients for the ultimate party destination.

Ibiza Clubbing Holidays

The party starter

Considered the party capital of the world, Ibiza has been a music magnet since the 1980s. After giving birth to some of the world’s most famous superclubs including Pacha and Amnesia, this small Balearic Island attracts a cosmopolitan crowd with celebrity visitors among the masses who flock here.

With more and more clubs opening their doors, Ibiza continues to live up to its reputation as Europe’s number one party island. If you’re looking for the best nightlife spots, the island’s most popular parties are dotted across the resorts of San Antonio and Playa d’en Bossa. It may be worth booking a hotel in one of these hotspots, so you don’t have to miss out on any of the clubbing action.

World-famous events

One thing’s for sure, Ibiza has an event calendar that would put most to shame. Come May when the island hosts its epic opening parties, clubbers can party every day around the clock if they wish. And events come in every kind, from trendy pool parties to rocking boat trips and open-air venues.

DJs come from all over the world hoping to land themselves a gig in Ibiza’s hottest clubs. The clubs here are fairly spread out – Amnesia and Privilege are located in the middle of the island while Eden and Es Paradis are situated in San Antonio. Then there’s Playa d’en Bossa where you’ll find the legendary Ushuaia and Sankeys.

But it’s not all about evenings, Ibiza is also loved for its good mix of day parties perfect for the island’s sun-lit climate. If you don’t mind getting your feet sandy, head to Bora Bora and dance barefoot to your favourite tracks, or you can always get soaked at Ocean Beach’s famous spray party. Not forgetting, Blue Marlin Ibiza, celebrated for its over-the-top luxury.

Pre-clubbing spots

As much as the clubs are the main attraction here, the bar scene is another one of the island’s many highlights. With most clubs getting busy around midnight, revellers tend to hit San Antonio beforehand to sample its famous bar scene.

Café Mambo, located on what is known as Ibiza’s Sunset Strip, is San Antonio’s main pre-party spot. Nothing says holiday quite like a sun down experience accompanied by live music sessions and chill-out playlists.

And it doesn’t end there, for those looking for something a little more wallet-friendly before hitting Ibiza’s high-priced clubs, San Antonio is also home to the West End. This area has a different feel to the rest of the island’s nightlife with its bar crawls, cheap drinks and PR’s trying their best to promote their venues.

Best clubs in Ibiza

Legendary for attracting top DJs and pulling out all the stops in live entertainment, Ibiza’s clubs rage on until the early hours of the morning. You can sometimes expect to pay steep entrance fees, but the unrivalled atmosphere will be well worth it. To find some of these top spots, all you have to do is follow the music.

Pacha, Ibiza Town

This Ibizan superclub needs no introduction – it’s easily one of the best nightclubs on the island.

It has five unique party rooms and world-class DJs, such as David Guetta and Armand van Helden, spinning tracks every night of the week. Located in party central Ibiza Town, Pacha is seen as being at the forefront of house music, though its themed party rooms also play funk and disco tunes as well as mainstream dance hits.

Ushuaia Beach Club, Playa d’en Bossa

Attached to a luxury hotel, the Ushuaia Beach Club is an outdoor clubbing paradise that rivals any major festival. Its massive sound stage overlooks the swimming pool, making for some seriously wild pool parties. Ushuaia brings in world-renowned DJs – Steve Lawler and Guy Gerber, for instance – and puts on popular festivals of its own in the summer, that have partygoers dancing throughout the warm nights.

Es Paradis, San Antonio Town

Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful clubs on the island, Es Paradis is outfitted to live up to its name, with ivory columns making up a centrepiece atrium, disco balls swaying from the ceiling and foliage adorning the walls. The club features special parties through its main summer season, including paint parties, water parties and A Clockwork Orange themed party that is both eerily strange and incredibly wild.

Space, Playa d’en Bossa

As big as a good-sized aircraft hangar, Space is staggering, to say the least. It often takes the crown in terms of best club on the island, bringing in top DJs from around the world, like 2 Many DJs and Aphex Twin, and blasting electronic dance hits until the early hours of the morning. Famous for its 22-hour-long parties, Space has five dance rooms to spread out the near 5,000 people flocking to its floors. It’s located right by Ibiza’s airport and sees low-flying planes throughout the day, so upon touching down, this superclub can be your first stop.

Privilege, San Rafael

As if Space wasn’t huge enough, Privilege is actually the world’s largest nightclub, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. It can fit an incredible 10,000 people within its walls. Each layer of the club reveals a different face of music, from techno to dance, and the main room even has a swimming pool.

Eden, San Antonio Town

After a brief hiatus, this nightlife spot is returning to its former glory as a tantalising dance venue. Before its relaunch in the summer of 2016, the venue had a complete makeover. True to its namesake, nightly parties here are themed after the Garden of Eden and backed by stunning light shows. Regular appearances are made by huge names in the DJ world like Eddie Halliwell and Judge Jules.

Bora Bora Beach Club, Playa d’en Bossa

This sandy spot combines the luxury of the beach with Ibiza’s party atmosphere, as visitors dance to DJ sets in bikinis and with colourful cocktails in hand. Admittance here is totally free, though you can expect to pay the same high prices for drinks as you would at other nearby clubs. Sunday is the club’s most popular day, with the party getting even louder in the evening.

Ibiza Rocks Bar, San Antonio Town

Located along the shores of the mega-popular San Antonio Town, the Ibiza Rocks Bar does just about everything – stand-up comedy, live music, DJ sets and diner-style food. But come nightfall, burgers won’t be on your mind anymore. The bar’s smaller size makes it a top pre-party spot, although you shouldn’t count it out as an all-night pitstop. Ibiza Rocks attracts some huge names in music, offering more intimate gigs than its enormous counterparts.

Invisa Es Pla

This adult-only hotel is a great stay if you’re looking for chilled days and energetic nights. With a good-sized pool area equipped with plenty of sunloungers and comfortable rooms, this is a great place to retire when you’ve partied too hard. When you’re feeling more energetic, you’ve got some fantastic facilities such as table tennis and rifle shooting. Location wise, you’ll find this hotel near San Antonio’s port, placing you close to the resorts biggest nightclubs Es Paradis and Eden.
