Miro Sun Boutique
The family-run Miro Sun Boutique is simple but smart. At this bijou-sized property, you’ll find designer furnishings like oversized headboards and pillows in neon colours.
Outside, there’s an oval-shaped pool that includes an add-on section for children. The sun terrace is bordered by trees and there’s also a bar that provides drinks and snacks by the water’s edge.
The front of the property is reserved for a small restaurant that specialises in local, home-cooked dishes. Plenty of other eateries surround the hotel, but the food here’s so good that you may struggle to ever leave.
Overview of Amoudara
Amoudara is located on Crete’s northern coast. The three miles of gorgeous sand are the main attraction of the resort, but there are ample bars, restaurants and shops here, too.
If you’re looking for a holiday to Crete where you can get out and explore, Amoudara is a great option as you’re only 15 minutes away from the capital of Heraklion. Plus, with a stay at the Miro Sun Boutique, you’re also close to the Knossos Palace, which is one of Crete’s most popular attractions.
Things to do in Amoudara
The Miro Sun Boutique is just a few minutes’ walk away from the beach. Amoudara literally translates as ‘big sand’, so don’t be surprised if most of your holiday is spent on the glorious beach. You can choose to relax or take part in water sports adventures down here.
Buses to the capital of Heraklion run regularly from outside the hotel. After a 10-minute journey, you’ll arrive in the storied old town. There’s plenty of history on show here but, if you’re looking for something modern, head to the pretty Venetian-style harbour.
One of the most popular holiday destinations in Greece, Amoudara is a heaven for beach lovers. With warm waters, gentle shores and action-packed sands, there’s something for every member of the family here.
