Baga Beach

Best hotels in Baga Beach

This vibrant resort at the end of a long beach has a scattering of large hotels that provide all the facilities you could wish for on your Goa holidays. As you can imagine, many of these hotels are placed right on the edge of Baga Beach's sand but others provide tranquil, rural surroundings just minutes away. You can choose to stay close to the main street so it's stumbling distance back from the techno clubs or further away to enjoy more peace.

Colonia Santa Maria
Colonia Santa Maria

As the name suggests, this colonial-style hotel has a white exterior with intricate balconies and dark wood furnishings inside. Right on the edge of the beach and seconds away from the resort centre, the location is ultra-convenient. The Colonia Santa Maria has two outdoor pools, with a snack bar nearby, a fitness room and Ayurvedic health centre, plus a restaurant serving international and local cuisine.

Set away from the main centre of Baga Beach, the Lagoa Azul resort is in a rural area with woodlands and its namesake brilliant blue lake. You can catch the regular shuttle bus service into Baga for the beach and the bars and restaurants of the town. However, with the hotel's TABLA restaurant serving Indian and western cuisine with views over the Baga River and lagoon, you may not venture out much. Adding to the offering are two pools, each with snack bars, a mini-gym, beauty and massage parlour.

Nazri Resort

You might not feel it when you're by the pool with views over countryside, salt lakes and wild birds, but this hotel is just minutes from both the beach and Baga centre. Eating at the Lakefield restaurant you can try Indian, Continental or Chinese cuisine plus there's evening entertainment laid on, including karaoke, DJs and live music. The games room and spa provide either fun or relaxation depending on your mood, or simply walk into busy Baga Beach for loads to do.

It has two pools and a restaurant for poolside terrace dining, serving a range of cuisines. Either settle in at night at the lounge bar with pool table and TV or enjoy the frequent evening entertainment with dance performances and live music. Plus there's an open-air Thai restaurant with its own bar and a second bar on the roof no less.
