    Strutting your stuff at night

One of the pleasures of a holiday in Rovinj is that this is a top destination for nightlife, from a delicious meal in a local restaurantto a wonderful selection of exotic cocktails at many of the local bars. Mediterraneo is a beautifully rustic bar on the edge of the old town right beside the sea and a fantastic location to watch the sunset. While the Havana Rum Bar is a fun place to spend an evening as it celebrates salsa nights, international rum day and all types of landmark occasions.

    Old world charm

Rovinj has a justifiable reputation for its charm and beauty. If you want to get one of the most awe-inspiring views of the whole town and surrounding landscape, take some deep breaths and climb the 60-metre high tower of St Euphemia’s church. It’s the building you can see from every point in Rovinj, at the centre of the iconic old town.

The whole of Rovinj’s old town is well worth exploring and is home to some of the most impressive All Inclusive hotels Croatia has to offer. It’s not a large town, you can just wander through the cobbled streets and see where your feet take you. Carera Street is intriguing and provides a bit of shopping, but everywhere you wander throughout the old town, you’ll spot an ancient window, a curious arch and all types of delights and treasures. Many of the old palaces have been converted into art studios and galleries, so walk in and have a look – it’s all part of your holiday adventure.

    Watery delights

One of the best ways to explore the Rovinj coastline is to take to the sea. There are multiple boat trips on offer from the town and you’ll be able to explore the whole of the dramatic Lim valley and fjord by boat.

Sunset dolphin watching tours are always a hot favourite and there’s also the option of a trip in a traditional ‘batan’ boat – a wooden vessel that’s identified with the cultural history of this area.

If you want to have fun in the water then know there are plenty of dive schools here, or alternatively you can take to the waves via a sea kayak. There are even opportunities to enjoy some sea fishing.

    Getting close to nature

Rovinj is set in a stunning landscape. The town itself has several beautiful parks. Alternatively you can hire a bike and head out to the beautiful Punta Corrente, just south of Rovinj and right in the middle of the Golden Cape peninsula. If you’re feeling exceptionally energetic you can always make the 30-minute journey on foot. As well as providing easy access to beaches, the luscious woodland park is a wonderful environment for a relaxing walk.

There are a variety of bike trails around Rovinj that weave through gorgeous woodlands, and this is a beautiful way of exploring the Croatian countryside. The St Eufemia trail is the easiest and covers 28 kilometres, passing stunning historical monuments as well as coming close to an ornithological reserve. The 60-kilometre Captain Morgan trail is the most difficult. You’ll pass through a ruined medieval town, a marshy wildlife ecosystem and a whole variety of other treasures here.
