TUI SUNEO Tamaimo Tropical All Inclusive
Incredibly well located, being 500m or less from the resort centre, beach, bus stop and numerous bars and restaurants, days away from the TUI SUNEO Tamaimo Tropical Hotel are easy to organise and enjoy, but with excellent amenities, it is hard to wave goodbye to the complex. Three swimming pools, a buffet restaurant, pool bar and elegantly unfussy bedrooms all make for a brilliant base. With an extensive sun terrace too, lazy pool days are a real pleasure here.
Overview of Puerto de Santiago
Holidays to Tenerife have always been popular thanks to the island (the largest of the Canaries), managing to balance family-friendly attractions with sumptuous beaches, great weather and an excellent mix of sporting facilities. Puerto de Santiago, on the west coast of Tenerife, presents a tranquil holiday experience that is less about vibrant nightlife and more focussed on laid-back strolls on the beach, great food and lazy family-orientated days. If you’re looking for a holiday that will guarantee plenty of sunshine and leave you feeling truly refreshed and relaxed, Puerto de Santiago could be the perfect destination for you.
Things to do in Puerto de Santiago
It might be small, but the beach in Puerto de Santiago is hugely pretty, as it’s surrounded by cliffs and leads down to crystal clear blue waters. Unspoiled and pared back, with little in the way of amenities, it’s perfect for a day or two of getting back to nature and just concentrating on doing very little. For a more active day out, consider climbing to the top of the Mount Teide. Local buses can transport you to the base and then you’re on your own for this five-hour hike. Be sure to pack plenty of snacks and water and persevere, as the views from the top are simply incredible. With a host of excellent restaurants, Puerto de Santiago is a foodie’s paradise, particularly for those that love tapas and seafood. You’ll notice that the local ‘catch of the day’ is advertised outside plenty of eateries.
