A Blue Flag winner
Elenite's beach has been well taken care of over the years and it still stands as a beautiful clean spread of sand by the Black Sea. It is a very well facilitated beach with accommodation and restaurants found right by the bay.
While the resort as a whole is a very touristy destination, there are plenty of natural perks which keep the air fresh and views stunning.
The town is surrounded by dipping green hills which enclose the beach area and drop off directly into the sea. The water itself is ideal for paddling and swimming as the shallow waves stay calm through the summer.
The activities available within Elenite are mostly provided by the hotels but this brand of fun can still get you up and out of your accommodation. Simple sports like table-tennis, badminton and beach volleyball can be enjoyed or you could try something new with archery, trampolining and horse riding all available too.
There are businesses available that help you ride the waves with different watersports and boat rides available. A sailing tour of the wider Elenite coastline will provide stunning views of the large hills as well as opportunities to visit other coastal resorts.
Sunny Beach and its excitement are just 20 minutes away while Nessebar is a further 10 minutes further along.

Head south to go shopping
The best shopping facilities are found in larger resorts with St Vlas being the closest to Elenite. The town's modern marina is home to a selection of upmarket shops with some of the biggest names in fashion providing clothing and jewellery options.
Elsewhere Sunny Beach features an array of shops throughout its streets as well as a massive open-air shopping centre at Royal Mall. Nessebar is a more traditional town and the old town area is a great place to shop for locally made items.

Both Paco's Bar and Regatta are based by the beach so you can end a day of sunbathing by making the short trip to these open-air eateries. Both provide crowd pleasing European dishes as well as a wide choice of holiday cocktails.
Elenite slopes down to the beach
Elenite is 37km away from Bourgas Airport and the drive will take around 50 minutes in total.
Elenite is based on a hillside and guests with mobility problems may find it hard to walk up and down from the beach to their room.
Book shuttle transfers and taxis from your hotel reception to save money. This is perhaps the best way to get across this region of Bulgaria with Nessebar, Sunny Beach and St Vlas short drives away.
