The Hotel Venus is in a prime location right in the heart of Benidorm with the resort's shops and nightlife on your doorstep. Plus the golden sand of Levante Beach is less that a five minute stroll away. At first glance, this the Venus doesn't stand out from the Benidorm crowd. However step inside and it stacks up well. The lobby is all marble floors, parlour palms, and plush seating, plus there's a statue of its namesake, the Roman goddess of love, Venus. As for the bedrooms, they're bright and smart spaces. Peach walls are paired with white wooden furniture, and beds are dressed in warm terracotta. Each one comes complete with satellite TV and a fridge. The real standout feature of this place, though, is the pool. It's a large, figure of eight shape. Plus, children have got their own shallow space at one end. The whole area is surrounded by a split level sun terrace and sprinkled with sun loungers and parasols. The air conditioned restaurant is a big buffet affair - expect griddled prawns and Chinese style duck among the offerings. A gluten free menu is available on request along with show cooking stations. For after dinner drinks, head to the Dracma Café. Pick a table on the vine covered terrace and settle in for nightly live music.
