Built to resemble a windmill the Round House is an ideal couples retreat. Located on the edge of Dalyan and is just a ten minute stroll from the centre of the village and its beautiful little harbour. The sleepy cottage has quirky, circular living room with a sunken table in the centre with kilims and floor cushions. The extractor hood and sink in the open plan kitchen have been fashioned from old coppers pots. Stairs lead to the upper floor which, apart from the attractively designed shower room, is taken up by a lovely double bedroom. Low windows on three sides of the cottage give you amazing views in all directions and a glass dome in the centre of the pitched roof has the round double bed directly below it.
Step outside where you'll find beautiful tropical gardens, in the centre is a small pool, it isn't really suitable for any rigorous swimming but it does give you somewhere to cool off. Lastly, a word on the owner, Omer. He built all three houses himself, including Round House, over a number of years. In fact, it proved a real labour of love and resulted in a nomination for a prestigious European design award. What's more, as Omer lives in a small cottage tucked into a corner of the grounds, he's always around to look after the properties and their gardens.
