The Oasis Payagayo is a pretty complex that's makes it a perfect choice families set in a convenient position. If you're looking to explore a little, Corralejo centre and its stunning sandy beach is about a 15 minute walk away, while bigger sand dune beaches are around 30 minutes from the complex. The Commercial Centre is close by and just across the road you've got an aqua park, which is open from May through to October. The complex looks a bit like a Wild West town, made up of low rise, dark terracotta buildings spread around huge gardens that offer plenty of wide open spaces for taking things easy. Even the lobby has a desert-like theme, with wooden rafters, a rickety wagon and lots of potted palms around the place.
The apartments are grouped around flowerbeds, lawns and stone footpaths, all of which lead to the hub of activity, the pool terraces, where you'll find two large swimming pools that are framed by sun beds and swaying palm trees, as well as whirlpool and a children's pool. The food department is pretty good, as well – there's a lantern lit buffet restaurant, a themed restaurant and a poolside cafe decked out with thatched parasols for some welcome shade. And when it comes to the apartments, expect chunky wooden furniture that's teamed with bold artwork and fresh cream and pastel colour schemes.
