The family run Nirides Beach Apartments are backed by mountains and overlook the beach, with the owners Stavros and Smaro going out of their way to make you feel at home.
Kos Town is just along the coast with its abundance of shops, bars and restaurants, you can walk their in less than thirty minutes meanwhile or you can hop in a taxi and be there in ten.
The apartments couldn't be in a better location set on the seafront in Psalidi, just footsteps away from their own sand and shingle beach, which comes complete with complimentary loungers.
The accommodation has recently been refurbished so everything is fresh and bright they are simple yet smart with white walls, dark wooden furniture and sunny yellow, orange and red bed linen. They all come with well equipped kitchenettes, satellite TV's, telephone, hairdryer, air conditioning and balconies.
The main attraction outside is the pool area, it's a classic rectangular shaped number that is set just over the road from the sea. There's a snack bar at one end and a separate section for children.
Elsewhere, tennis courts, basketball hoops and a mini golf course take care of daytime entertainment. In terms of food, the emphasis is on locally sourced produce and homemade Greek dishes, there's even an organic farm right behind the hotel that grows fruit and vegetables for the restaurant.
Menu highlights include Greek salads bursting with feta and olives, calamari served with lemon wedges and mayonnaise, and boureki, filo pastry stuffed with meat or vegetables. And if that doesn't take your fancy, there's a supporting cast of classic dishes like fish and chips.
