The family friendly Hotel Gran Canaria Princess is right in the heart of Playa del Inglés, with bars, restaurants and shops on tap. The beach itself is just a ten minute stroll away away, and it runs right to Maspalomas that offers plenty of photo opportunities with stunning sea views and sand dunes along the way. The hotel is a real mixture of ultra sleek and super simple; the lobby is made almost entirely of marble, with splashes of gold and glinting chandeliers. The restaurant follows a similar theme, with rows of spotlights reflected in floor to ceiling mirrors. Meals in the main restaurant are buffet style with a plethora of local and international cuisine, so you can go back as many times as you want. There's show cooking in the evening, too, and the hotel lays on themed dinners every week, from Italian and Mexican to typical Canarian cuisine. The bedrooms, meanwhile, are styled much more simply – with white furniture, light walls and bold red soft furnishings.
Head outside where you'll find two lagoon shaped pools that wind their way around tropical gardens and sun terraces. There's a waterfall to splash about under, and a separate pool for the younger guests. Little wooden bridges link everything together, so you can get to the palm thatched pool bar in the middle. And when you fancy a break from the sun, there's another shady terrace tucked away in the gardens. On top of all that, there's plenty in the way of entertainment, with a kids' club in the day and family-friendly shows at night. Considering this place even has its own minigolf course, you'll be spoilt for choice for things to do.
