The stunning Hotel Calypso Hotel makes a wonderful holiday retreat. Owned by Metin and Mert and is located on a quiet and peaceful spot on the edge of the Dalyan River. A five minute stroll will find you in the harbour side town of Dalyan where an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants can be found. Plus, you're in easy reach of Istuzu Beach to the south and Koycegiz Lake to the north.
Another lovely perk of the Hotel Calypso Plus is the private jetty, just a few steps from the hotel. Poking out onto the river, it's scattered with comfy floor cushions and has a thatched roof for shade. There are also wooden tables and chairs under the swishing trees here, where you can watch the boats drift by. Step inside where you'll find the hotel's 33 are spacious, bright and fuss free. Think warm walls, white linens and stripy throw rugs. Plus, they come with air conditioning and a balcony – many of which look out over the gardens and distant mountains.
Head outside where a circular pool that has a children's section is at the heart of the Calypso's grounds. There's plenty of breathing space on the terrace, which is sprinkled with sun beds and parasols. And just to the side, under the shade of a vine covered pergola, is an al fresco restaurant with rustic, wooden tables. You can order mezze, Turkish specialties and international cuisine, and there's a barbeque and a pide oven out here, too.
