You'll find this delightful Mediterranean country house perched on a hilltop, surrounded by attractive gardens and pine forest and offers a peaceful setting. Better yet, you're less than a five minute drive from the shops, restaurants and beach of Santa Eulalia.
From the outside, Casa Can Maderus is just as good looking as its Secret Garden-esque backdrop. The whitewashed building is complete with a wooden banister that runs alongside the upper floor balconies. The whole place is flanked by huge palm trees, and you'll find homely touches dotted around the grounds, such as a rocking chair on the ground floor terrace. Head down the stone steps and you'll come to the swimming pool. It's cocooned by a lawn and sand coloured rockery, and has palm trees lining its edges. It's a really pretty set-up – especially when it's all lit up come nightfall. Best of all, you get fabulous views of the countryside from here.
Inside, the décor takes a leaf from the traditional design book. Think sky high beamed ceilings and whitewashed walls bordered by cobbled stone that mix with terracotta tiled floors that run throughout. And it's all accessorised with chunky wooden furniture and contemporary artwork. As for the bedrooms, there are four of them – two master doubles and two twins. They're dressed in powder blue tones, and all feature wooden floors, wall to wall wardrobes, and a French balcony or terrace that makes the most of the views. Modern touches, meanwhile, come in the form of air conditioning and WiFi.
