The Vincci Canela Golf forms part of the Isla Canela Golf Club, and is within walking distance of the clubhouse and the tree lined fairways and lakes. Golf aside, this hotel has plenty to offer in its own right. Its design is inspired by an 18th century Portuguese mansion, with the exteriors fusing whitewashed walls, yellow painted arcades and terracotta pink towers. Meanwhile, inside quirky touches come in the form of retro lamp stands, Chic Roman blinds and oversized stone candleholders. Bedrooms are decorated in creams and chocolate, and are teamed with arty wall prints and polished wood floors. Satellite TVs and mosaic tiled bathrooms with glass double sinks complete the comforts. Plus, you get your own furnished balcony or terrace with views over the golf course.
On the food front, there’s the stunning Alacena Restaurant. All orange lampshades and white linen, it looks out over the fairways and offers up buffet style breakfasts and à la carte lunches and dinners. Cuisine wise, expect international mainstays coupled with signature local dishes. Elsewhere, you’ve got an outdoor pool. It’s set on a terracotta terrace and comes with and abundance of sun beds and canvas parasols around the edge. Elsewhere, you’ll find a gym and an indoor pool. And when you want to head out, the town of Ayamonte and the sandy beaches of Isla Canela are about a five minute drive away.
