First founded in 500B.C, Vienna became the capital of the Holy Roman Empire during the middle ages and later capital of the Austrian Empire and Austro – Hungarian Empire. These influences can be found in the culture and architecture of this now modern and vibrant city. Vienna is the capital of Austria and is also the political and economic centre of the country.
