Turihan Hotel
Holidays to the Turihan Hotel score top marks for location, right on the beach and a five-minute walk to the centre of Gumbet. The Turihan Hotel couldn’t get any closer to the beach in fact the curve of golden sandy beach may as well be its doormat. Lined with sunbeds and wicker parasols there’s a lot going on as water skiing, banana boats and pedalos are all available.
If you’re not a beach lover head to the hotels pool it’s a real suntrap framed by palm trees and brightly coloured bougainvillea. The Turihan has quite a traditional feel to it, with tree lined paths leading to whitewashed buildings with sky-blue frames.
Rooms are simple but the woven Turkish rugs and bedside lamps give them a cosy feel, TVs’ and minibars are standard throughout. Another traditional touch is the hotels own Turkish bath.
The hotels restaurant is set just back from the beach with one side opening out onto the terrace, for the romantics in you there are a handful of tables and chairs set out on the beach below.
