Top 10 All Inclusive Resorts - As picked by our staff

Riu Vistamar, Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria

“We went in June 2009 and had a fantastic time. The hotel had great food, was very clean, had excellent facilities and was in a great location with fantastic views – built into the cliff but don’t worry – there’s a free courtesy bus down to Amadores Beach. All rooms are large, well equipped and all have sea views. The hotel is actually German owned – but don’t let that put you off as it means the standards are very high.

Summer temperatures are hotter but as it’s the Canaries I would class this as a year round resort. Unfortunately not suitable for disabled people due to it’s steep location, but would recommend it to absolutely everyone else.”

Claire

Aqua Fantasy, Kusadasi, Turkey

“This place certainly has the ‘wow’ factor and if you’ve got kids, you’ll never see them all week! I tend to find people return to this hotel year after year which is an excellent advert in itself. The kids clubs are great and the water park; well… what can I say? 26 water slides! We visited in September 2008 and the food was great, hotel clean and staff friendly. If you can tear yourself away there are water sports on the beach or hop on the ‘dolmus’ to Kusadasi for the market.

I’d also suggest a day trip to Ephesus, only 10 mins away. I’d recommend May to October for this area of Turkey to make sure you get the best weather, although August can be extremely hot! We’ve booked to go back again in May 2010 – what more can I say!”

Michelle

Gran Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado, Samana, Dominican Republic

“Heaven on earth” need I say more? OK, here goes: If you’re looking for something totally luxurious, relaxing and slightly isolated, then this is the place I recommend. As you approach the island by boat from the mainland it really is like arriving at your own private island. Luxurious and peaceful – we enjoyed days relaxing by the pool and also on the private beach.

My one ‘hot tip’ (and I’ll probably get sacked for saying it) is that in this instance I would not pay the extra for a villa as the main block rooms were almost identical and I thought better located. It’s probably too quiet here for children, but ideal for romantic getaways and older couples. So enjoy…we certainly did!”

Maria

Titanic Hotel, Antalya, Turkey

"The hotel is actually built in the shape of the famous Cruise liner! How fantastic is that? You actually get the feeling inside that you are on a cruise! But no worries, there are no icebergs around here, just fantastic accommodation, great food, clean rooms and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The activities available are endless with ten pin bowling, archery, pool table, pedalos, water sports, tennis and squash courts. There’s a Lobby Bar, Disco Bar, Pool Bars and even a Vitamin Bar!

I recommend this hotel to families looking for fun and adventure. Flights do operate into the Antalya Region during our winter, but for the best weather I’d recommend sticking to our summer months, remembering that it can get extremely hot in Turkey during August!”

Michaela

Holiday Village, Costa del Sol, Spain

“We went in June 2009 and had the best holiday ever. The facilities are second to none with everything self-contained so you never leave the village unless you want to. The room was spacious and clean, the pools were fantastic, and staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The entertainment team is perhaps the biggest draw of all, they just never seem to run out of energy or ideas to entertain everyone and even the shyest of kids found it hard to resist joining in.

I recommend the Holiday Village to families looking to relax while their children are totally occupied, entertained and never bored. The popularity of all First Choice Holiday Villages is growing rapidly which is an excellent advert as to exactly how good they are.”

Julie

Hotel Tanit, Cala Gracio, Ibiza

“Part of the Fiesta group, I always recommend this hotel to families with small children, the short flight from the UK is ideal and the facilities are fantastic. There’s a children’s playground, pool and kids clubs. We went in September 2008 and found the choice and quality of food was some of the best we have ever tasted whilst abroad and there was plenty of choice (and highchairs) for the little ones.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff whose friendliness just enhances the fantastic Family atmosphere. The entertainment is brilliant and kept our kids enthralled, in my opinion, if they are happy…we are happy! I have been booking families here for years and never had one single complaint. What better advert could you wish for?”

Shelley

Sensatori, Crete

“You can choose ‘luxury’ or you can choose ‘family orientated’ all inclusive resorts, however I have found it hard to find one that covers both…until now that is. Welcome to Sensatori, Crete! This spa resort is part of Thomson’s Premier Collection and offers the ultimate in Luxury and relaxation combined with excellent entertainment and children’s facilities. I thoroughly enjoyed the spa treatments – not too expensive either and the children loved the kids club and entertainment.

The list of things to do is far too long to write here, but I can tell you now; kids of all ages (even adults) will never be bored. The resort is so well laid out so if you are travelling without children you need hardly ever see other peoples! There’s a Sensatori in Tenerife we are going to try next, then when the kids are ready for a long haul flight, we’ll be heading straight for the one in Mexico!"

Kelly

Hotel Jupiter, Alcudia, Majorca

“My Family have been going to Majorca for the last 15 years and we absolutely love it, our favourite hotel is the Jupiter in Alcudia. It has everything we need for a great Family holiday, from grandparents to new babies, we travel en mass and have never been disappointed. The kids are never bored with a football academy, trampolines, pedalos, playground and various pools to choose from.

The food has always been fantastic, rooms are always clean and staff are never anything but welcoming and friendly. There’s a huge lake to wander around and the resort even has its own market stalls. You can stroll along to nearby shops if you like and the beach is just over a kilometre away. We find that for our Family of all ages there is something for everyone and I cannot recommend this (and sister property Saturno) to my customers highly enough. Don’t just take my word for it, though."

Tracy

Nestor Hotel, Ayia Napa, Cyprus

“People thought I was mad booking all inclusive in Ayia Napa as I was planning to spend most of my time in nightclubs, however, my friends and I got the best of both worlds. We never needed to worry about where our next meal (or drink) was coming from during the day, and as the all inclusive closed at around 11pm, we were just about ready to head out and hit the town! The hotel is ideally situated just on the edge of the nightlife which kept it relatively quiet, yet handy to just walk along to the clubs when we were ready! The hotel was clean and our room although not huge, was spacious enough and clean. The staff were always friendly and the food excellent. We met many people who wished they’d done what we did and I can honestly say this ended up being the best holiday we have ever had. We spent far less money all together than those who had gone self catering and were having to buy food and drink all day and night. I’d recommend it to all you party goers who want to stay one step ahead of the game!”

Joanne

Concorde El Salam, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt

“I absolutely love this resort and find that once I’ve given customers a brief description, the resort then sells itself. Excellent transfer times (close enough to the Airport but not too close for noise) it’s a large resort with fantastic facilities. There are 5 swimming pools and the infinity pool is to die for and looks especially beautiful when lit up at night. If you’re into sports, the complex has a full size football pitch, equestrian centre and even an ice rink!

The diving here is excellent as are the spa treatments. I always recommend the Concorde el Salam to people looking to visit Sharm as the facilities are exceptional and the location fantastic."
