Tamarindo Holidays

Modern, Yet Never Far From Nature…

Tamarindo, whilst typically Costa Rican is a little livelier than some of the other resorts in this region, and while the beach is still stunningly beautiful, it is a little busier than some of its neighbours but this also means it has better facilities. Tamarindo holidays have managed to blend the tropical beauty with more modern tourism to perfection without spoiling any of the natural features that this part of the world has the right to boast about. You are never very far away from nature on holidays to Tamarindo and keen birdwatchers, walkers and nature lovers will enjoy the nature reserves and nearby national parks that offer the chance to mingle with the monkeys, sloths, toucans, hummingbirds and parrots that call this place home. This whole coastline is famous for it nesting grounds for the endangered Leatherhead Turtles and if you want the opportunity to see them on your holidays in Tamarindo, then October to March are the best times to visit.

Shops, bars and restaurants are dotted throughout the resort giving plenty of choice, with menus that can boast traditional Costa Rican recipes, international cuisine and succulent freshly caught fish dishes. Fishing is a huge part of everyday life in this part of the world, and joining in with a deep sea fishing expedition can be great fun and very rewarding. Look out for sailfish and blue marlin amongst the snapper and sea bass.

Perfect For The Whole Family…

Scuba diving and surfing lessons are available for all ages making family holidays to Tamarindo an ideal location for your next winter break. The myriad of tropical fish and colourful coral just beneath the surface will open up a whole new world with the warm, shallow waters just perfect for smaller children. This also makes conditions ideal for introducing the younger members, or those who have never tried it before, to surfing. The lessons cater for all ages and levels of ability meaning the whole family can learn together.

Horse riding along the beach and through the jungle terrain is a great way of seeing more of the local wildlife. Galloping through the Rincon de la Vieja National Park through tropical forests and past gurgling volcanoes is an experienced not to be missed on all holidays to Tamarindo. Guest houses and bed and breakfast accommodation are popular choices as they are small, friendly and very welcoming, however some prefer to take all inclusive holidays to Tamarindo, where you can enjoy the comfort and luxury of 4 or 5 star resorts whilst still appreciating the natural wonder that surrounds them.
