Stalis Holidays

Fine Sandy Beaches and a Lively Little Resort

Stalis is a resort on the north coast of the Greek Island of Crete. Stalis (sometimes known as Stalida) is a lively little place just 18 miles from the airport at Heraklion and only a few miles from the popular resort of Malia. Stalis holidays are centred around the beach resort, which is typically enjoyed by families and couples seeking an interesting Crete holiday without all the excesses of holidays in Malia.

Stalis holidays offer a good selection of bars and Tavernas, some of which are right on the beach and there's a handful of late night discos. Holidays in Stalis have much less of an all night party feel than in Malia or Hersonissos so you can still visit Stalis for peace and quiet. There's a number of fine sandy beaches close to Stalis, which are lapped by the warm blue waters of the Sea of Crete.

The countryside behind Stalis is green and hilly with olive plantations and the rugged Dikti Mountains. There's plenty to do on holiday in Stalis and there are also a number of options for day trips. Santorini is a picturesque volcanic island that you can reach by ferry from Stalis, with some magnificent views from the top of the crator. Stalis holidays are not without their interesting historical sights.

The Palace of King Minos is not too far away at Knossos and the pretty Venetian architecture of Heraklion is a fine example of the type. For a very lively night out the neighbouring Malia is definitely the place to go.
