St Vlas Holidays

A Truly Memorable Experience…

Also known as Sveti Vlas, St Vlas nestles perfectly between the green carpet of the Stara Planina mountain range and dark hues of the Black Sea, just to the north of Sunny Beach in Bulgaria, making holidays to St Vlas a truly memorable experience. This stunningly picturesque village has kept its traditional feel despite being adorned with modern hotels. Its history dates back to an amazing 2nd century BC, when the Thracian tribe named the area Larisi, it was renamed Sveti Vlas in the 14th century AD, after a patron saint of cattle growers and merchants. During Ottoman rule it was again renamed as Manastir after the five monasteries within close vicinity, unfortunately none of these are still in evidence on St Vlas holidays today. It reverted back to Sveti Vlas after the reunification of the Bulgarian state in 1886. Whilst St Vlas has always been a fishing port, a brand new marina has recently been constructed, and many striking yachts bob gently in the water here.

Life Here Revolves Around The Beautiful Beaches And Stunning Marina…

There are 3 beaches to choose from. The main one in the middle is the largest and most popular, hence the busiest, there is another smaller one just to the south and also one right next to the new marina. Many people choose the luxury of all inclusive holidays to St Vlas, and there are plenty of hotels here to choose from. Most offer entertainment packages and great sports facilities whilst some also benefit from relaxing and therapeutic spas.

Holidays to St Vlas really are all about rest and relaxation and life here usually revolves around the beautiful beaches and stunning marina. Nightlife on St Vlas holidays is as laid back as the days and many people spend it enjoying the hospitality of their hotels; however for those who like to explore there are plenty of bars and restaurants throughout the resort with the marina area being especially popular. For something a little livelier on your holidays in St Vlas, then head into Sunny Beach or Nesebar just along the coast for a greater selection of eateries and clubs. Couples will appreciate the peace and quiet and relative seclusion from livelier resorts, safe in the knowledge that busier options are just nearby should they fancy a livelier night out, whilst the peaceful ambience, fantastic beaches and excellent facilities make family holidays to St Vlas the perfect summer destination.
