Holidays In Paxos - Quiet Greek Charm

Paxos has no Airport so it can only be reached by ferry and more recently also by seaplane. The capital and largest town on Paxos is Gaios, a picturesque working fishing port backed by lush forested hills. The village has charming narrow lanes that lead off to bars and coffee shops and the pretty village squares.

Paxos holiday accommodation is quite exclusive because Paxos only has a couple of hotels, so much of the accommodation consists of self catering apartments and villas. There are more than 20 beaches around the island and all of them can be accessed by boat, a great way to get around and explore the scenic views.

The attraction of Paxos holidays is tied to its traditional authentic atmosphere and quiet charm. There are no bouncing nightclubs or hedonistic bars to be found on Paxos holidays, the pace of life is more suited to traditional tavernas than late night discos. The other villages on Paxos Loggos and Lakka are both picturesque fishing villages that share the quiet ambiance of Gaios and are nice places to enjoy a leisurely stroll in the sunny weather.
