You can’t help but relax as soon as you set foot on the beautiful beach at Panormos on the equally idyllic island of Skopelos. The sea is a mixture of varying shades of blue and green highlighted by the dense forest backdrop and dazzling summer skies. The wide sheltered bay is peppered with small, secluded inlets which can be reached over the rocks or by swimming round to them.
Head over to Milia Beach, a shingled cove with views over to the nearby island of Dassia, even more stunning if you find a beach side taverna and watch the sun set at the end of a lazy day on the beach.
There are a variety of watersports to try on holidays to Panormos, or hire a motor boat and head for some of the pine backed coves only accessible by water.
Night times are as laid back as the days here and they are usually spent in a local taverna, enjoying a home cooked traditional meal washed down by a glass or two of ouzo or retsina.
