Paguera Holidays 2024/2025

Paguera’s main attractions are the three stunning golden sand beaches that are connected by a long promenade that allows you to walk from shore to shore. Aside from beach relaxation on cheap holidays to Majorca, there are water sports and boat trips to keep you amused. The town is busy at night with bars and clubs open until late or you can relax in one of the restaurants with a cold drink.

Beautiful beaches

Paguera has no fewer than three clean, sandy beaches to its name – Playa La Romana, Playa Tora and Playa Palmira – which are all connected by a coastal promenade. Along the way, you’ll find hotels, restaurants, bars and cafes – ideal if you fancy a bite to eat after soaking up the rays. All three beaches are situated within a tranquil bay and great for kids who want to splash in the shallows. Sun loungers and parasols are plentiful and available to rent for a small fee.

Wet and wild

All three of Paguera’s beaches have fantastic watersports facilities. You’ll be able to go windsurfing, head out on a pedal boat as well as do some snorkelling and explore the underwater sea life. There is also a diving centre in Paguera where professional divers can take you out into the water to show you around submerged wrecks and hidden coves. Holidays to Majorca often have many hidden gems, so even if you’re a regular visitor, you’re bound to find something new.

Ahoy matey

If you hop aboard one of the glass-bottomed boats that set out from Paguera it will sail along the coast to the nature reserve at Dragonera Island. Dragonera Island is a great place for a day trip and is the home of several Roman ruins and a museum. If that whets your appetite, you could sign up for a two to four hour cruise that follows the southern coast of Majorca.

Food and entertainment

You’ll find most of Paguera’s restaurants and bars down the side-streets and along the main boulevard in town. Because of the large number of German tourists visiting the resort, many of the eateries serve German cuisine.

If this doesn’t take your fancy there are also Spanish and Italian restaurants as well as British pubs providing full English breakfasts. You can even grab some food on the go at one of the many takeaways available.

Paguera has a lively nightlife scene with plenty of bars and clubs scattered throughout the resort. The clubs and discos are open until the early hours of the morning, with DJs playing the most current tracks.

Tennis enthusiasts

Paguera is home to the most visited tennis venue on Majorca, so if you’re a tennis enthusiast this is a must. The Tennis Academy de Mallorca Paguera has seen some of the world’s best tennis players train at its facility, playing host to stars like Boris Becker and Steffi Graf. Even for less seasoned players, there’s the chance to have private lessons, tactical training or attend one of the adult or junior camps. If you’re on a family holiday to Majorca, children’s tennis lesson are regularly available, and an afternoon of tennis is a great afternoon activity.

Natural sites

This hilltop resort is full of natural beauty and scenic landscapes. One of the best ways to see the sites is to go on a hiking tour. So you can lace up your walking boots and make the trek from Paguera to the nearby resort of Camp de Mar, with its unrivaled beaches. After that, continue over the mountains to the exclusive resort of Port d’Andratx and there’s a chance to marvel at its Italian-style villas and superb yachting marina.

Nearby festivals

If you’re looking for some Majorcan festival fun, take a drive to the neighbouring town of Andratx, just five kilometres away. There are numerous festivals taking place here all year round from Easter celebrations to spring carnivals.

Most of the festivals consist of open air cinemas, street parties, fireworks and folk dancing in the evenings. One of the most popular of which happens on 16th July to celebrate the patron saint of fishermen, Virgen del Carmen. During this festival, boats are decorated with bright colours and displayed in a parade around the Port D’Andratx harbour.
