Beginners – Oberau is a great place to learn how to Ski or board with its broad nursery slopes and highly rated tuition throughout the Wildschonau area. There is plenty of variety to enable you to master the slopes on offer.
Intermediate - With the Wildschonau area lift pass, intermediates have a good selection of open runs, including long red runs that lead back to the village. These are ideal for practising on before advancing onto more challenging terrain.
Advanced – Although Oberau is a little limited for the advanced skier, there are a few red and black runs available and some great off-piste opportunities.
Snowboarders – Oberau does not offer a huge amount for the advanced snowboarder, but it is an ideal place to learn the basic skills. However, half pipes and a snowboarding park can be found in the neighbouring resorts, which are easily accessed via the Wildschonau lift pass.
Après Ski – As a relatively small resort, Oberau has a fairly quiet après Ski atmosphere, which is typically warm and welcoming. There is a selection of shops, bars and restaurants and even a handful of discos providing entertainment throughout the evening. Other activities on offer include ice-skating, bowling, paragliding, and tobogganing. Winter walks and cross-country skiing are also popular. The magical moonlight sleigh rides are an unforgettable experience.
Transfers – Oberau is in close proximity to a number of airports. It is situated approximately 1hr from Innsbruck, 1hr from Munich, 1hr 30minutes from Salzburg and approximately 3hrs from Stuttgart.
