History And Directions For Norwich Airport

The first Norwich Airport was set up on a former World War 1 aerodrome that fell into disuse during World War Two. The present site at Horsham St Faith was officially opened in 1940 and was used as an RAF base throughout the war. The RAF left the site in 1969 and it was then developed by Norwich council and named the now familiar Norwich International Airport.

Norwich International Airport is located 3miles north of the city centre with access via the A140. Norwich Railway Station is connected to the airport by a regular bus service. There is also a regular bus service to and from the city centre to the airport.
