Close to Ayia Napa, but not too close…

Neighbouring the more boisterous Ayia Napa, Nissi Beach is a popular but relatively sedate resort located on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach. The white sand stretches for a good 500 metres, and has been awarded a Blue Flag for cleanliness. Nissi Beach offers a number of seaside hotels to cater for any holiday budget. Again, neighbouring Ayia Napa is also an option for hotels if you prefer. Nissi Beach has a distinctive desert island a little way out into the bay which is popular with sunbathers because it is in easy swimming distance from the beach.

Water sports, history, good food…

If sunbathing is not for you, Nissi Beach offers a range of activities during the day including water sports such as windsurfing and jet-skiing. There is also a popular water park nearby. The resort also offers some impressive history, with a recent archaeological dig finding evidence of a settlement some 12000 years old, indicating that Nissi Beach was one of the first places settled by people on Cyprus. Traditional Greek restaurants and other eateries such as Italian restaurants are in abundance, as well as a range of bars and nightclubs if you wish to stay out late.
