Welcome To A Historic Paradise...
Nessebur, Bulgaria, also known as Nesebar or Nessebar, is an ancient fort town on the coast facing the Black Sea. Linked only to the Bulgarian mainland and the rest of the world by a slender, arched causeway. Nessebur simply breathes history – cobbled streets, wooden houses and over 40 churches, the oldest dating to around 1000AD, are testament to that. It’s not the only strength of Nessebur as a holiday destination, for just a stone’s throw from your hotel, Nessebur beach also offers sunbathing and water sports opportunities in these same unrivalled surroundings.
You could man a yacht, hire a jet-ski or go scuba diving. Fitness fans will even find a dedicated water park. There are also all manner of cafes and coffee shops to peacefully chat and sip tea at, and museums and novel souvenir shops to visit and browse through. Fine cuisine, too, is a real Nessebur forte, with seafood making regular appearances on the menus of the ‘mehanas’ – a remnant of this resort’s history as a town for Greek fishermen until the early years of the 20th century. Then there’s the lovely Nessebur climate: typical of continental Mediterranean resorts, with temperatures hitting 26°C and the summer stretching from May to October.
