The Malia Strip
You’ll know where to go when you’re in Malia, and that’s the main strip, supported by hundreds of bars, clubs, taverns, pubs and restaurants which serve anything from a 3-course meal to tasty fishbowls to share.
When it’s time to hit the clubs, there are plenty of options no matter what type of party you prefer. If funky house and electro are your style, opt for Candy Club, or indie fans can get their fix at Venue. Happy-go-lucky clubbers can enjoy an all-round mix at Zig Zag and Safari, while it’s always fun to stop by Banana Club – one of Malia’s most popular night spots – to enjoy the open-air deck and summer anthems. Don’t miss Camelot Club down by the beachfront either as this is one of the most memorable establishments on the strip that can be relied on to play awesome club beats every day of the week.
The strip is less than one mile from Malia’s central beach, which is covered in soft, fine sand and lined with seaside bars. Be sure to venture a little bit out of town and explore the beaches along the road from Malia to Stalis, and check out the Minoan Palace of Malia (Knossos), which is an ancient archaeological site on the edge of a peaceful beach (great for recovering from a heavy night out!).
