Hotel Talayot
The Hotel Talayot is situated just off the promenade in the heart of Cala Millor and there’s a Blue Flag beach just a couple of minutes’ walk from your doorstep. Surrounded by beautiful palm tree offering amazing views over the Mediterranean Sea, you don't need to travel too far for all the life of the resort with it's cafes, bars & restaurants, as they are right on your door step. You can’t miss this place - a big white hotel with touches of russet and dark wood, it’s got a bit of an Alpine feel to it and the best bit about it is its location.
Back at the hotel, it’s the swimming pool that steals the limelight. Set at the back of the hotel in palm studded gardens, it’s a rectangular number framed by an ample terrace. A kids’ pool and a snack bar complete the picture. There is also a heating indoor pool and whirlpool bath.
In terms of looks, the hotel’s got a smart laid back vibe to it. Marble floors under ceiling spotlights, and a black leather sofa zone in the lobby set the tone. The bedrooms feature cream walls that blend well with simple light wood furniture and peach coloured soft furnishings. Plus they all have extras like satellite TVs, tea and coffee kits and small fridges.
Lastly, there’s the air conditioned non smoking restaurant. It’s a laid back buffet affair, so you can pick and choose from freshly prepared dishes for all tastes. Think home from home favourites like roasts and Med dishes like pasta. Or take lunch in the café which is also open to the public. As for things to do, this place has quite a selection. Not only does it organise a disco twice a week, but there’s live music and shows four times a week, too.
