Hotel Balcon De Europa
The Hotel Balcon De Europa is in a fantastic location right beside the beach and close to Nerja’s old quarter. The hotel sits on a balcony that is carved into the rocks overlooking the coastline, in fact that spot was once called ‘Europe’s Balcony’ by one of Spain’s former kings. Standing on a sea facing balcony you can look out over the glistening ocean and down the coast as far as the eye can see, pure bliss.
As the hotel is built into the rock face, the entrance to the hotel from the road is actually on the 6th floor and the lower floors drop right down onto the beach. The small rectangular pool is halfway down the back of the hotel with a spacious sun terrace below for days of undisturbed bathing. Beneath the sun terrace are the lower floors of the hotel and the sandy beach.
Inside the hotel is decorated tastefully with marble flooring and natural colour schemes. Dining is a treat here with delicious meals prepared in the elegant dining room as well as an a la carte seafood restaurant on the beach with spectacular sea views. Rooms within the hotel are simply but comfortably furnished, after all most of the time you will be out on the terrace or down on the beach enjoying the glorious sunshine. Standard rooms have either 2 or 3 beds and junior suites are also available. Air-conditioning, central heating, satellite TV, mini-bar and hairdryer come as standard in all rooms for a comfortable stay.
Although the hotel is modern, tasteful and the overall location is spectacular; it is actually the staff that really makes this hotel so desirable.
