The resort centre is only a couple of minutes walk away with a good choice of authentic tavernas, seafood restaurants and café bars. Getting to see more of the island couldn’t be easier, just jump on the local bus it will take you an hour to Corfu Town were you will see some stunning scenery along the way. The design of the Hotel Afrodite is traditionally Greek with its whitewashed walls, terracotta roof tiles and elegant balconies. The neat interiors have dark wood furnishings and cooled tiled floors, French windows open up onto private balconies or terraces and you can pay a little extra for a room with a sea view.
The swimming pool steals the limelight, it’s a large rectangular shape with attached whirlpool bath, the pool bar runs along side serving snacks and light meals on the open-air dining terrace. The hotel has its own restaurant which is an airy space, has exposed brickwork and mirrored pillars. The menu mixes homemade Greek dishes such as meze, moussaka and kebabs, along with British favourites like scampi and chips.
